Back Beach Beach (looking north), easterly exposure, is a easy sandy entry. Sandy bottom, shallow depths (15 to 30 feet). Sloping bedrock on left side of beach (facing ocean), with pretty rock ledges. Be careful of the strong currents and watch for boat traffic near the point on the left (by the entrance to the cove). Plenty of metered parking and restrooms.
Take Route 1 or Route 93 To Route 128 North.
Follow 128 until you pass through both the Grant and Blackburn
traffic circles.
Shortly after passing the Blackburn circle, you'll come to a set
of lights. Turn left onto Route 127 North.
Follow 127 until you come to a five-way intersection, then follow the
signs to downtown Rockport.
When you reach downtown Rockport, take a left onto Beach Street.
Follow Beach Street along the shore. You will first pass front beach
on the right, the second beach is back beach.
