The Benwood was a British freighter that was first in a collision that set her on fire while running without lights to avoid German U boat detection. She ran aground on a reef where she was used by the US Army for bombing practice, she now rests with her bow in 50 feet of water. It is located in Pennekamp park. It still is a beautiful wreck loaded with sealife.
