Whale Sharks off Okinawa

Okinawan fisherman catch about 40 whale sharks a year in their nets accidently. Being enterprising people, they rotate the giant fish through holding pens to provide divers with an experience of a lifetime. For about $125 american, you get a lesson, a video, and two dives. Scott Maloney sent us some pictures of his encounter with a corral of 20-30 footers. This has advantages for those of us who don't have time to stalk these mighty, but gentle beasts in the wild.
