On Similan and Surin Tour with Dive Asia, (http://www. diveasia.com) you will start from Chalong Bay in Phuket. During the night the ship will pass Phuket on the West and upon awaking in the morning you will see the Donald Duck Bay, your first step on the Similans. The next four days you may make up to five dives per day, three "day dives", one "sunset dive" and one "night dive". Every one at a different site. From lionfish to leopard sharks and whale sharks the Andaman Sea has abundent wild life.
On the way to the Surin Islands lies Koh Bon, where you have the chance to
meet big manta rays. At Koh Tachei, you can see friendly bat fishes.
After Surin near the border to Myanmar (Burma) lies Richelieu Rock, a lonely
rock, like a needle in the middle of the sea.
Richelieu Rock is one of the two whale shark meeting points in the Andaman
Sea. But, with luck, you may meet whale sharks at other dive destinations along the
way.
When the Similan and Surin Tour is completed, the ship will start to the Southern
Island Tour. Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are the second whale shark meeting
point".
Hin Daeng and Hin Muang lies in the south of Phuket at the beginning of the
Street of Malacca.
Both reefs are as big as a football field. There are so many fish of all
kinds, including large rays, morays, and sometimes white tipped sharks, that the diver must not forget to breath. The visibility is 30 to 40 m.
Between Phuket and Hin Daeng / Hin Muang you may dive at Koh Bida and
Koh Ha. The later, you can dive in a cave.
On this tour you will see Shark Point and Anemone Reef as well, two of Phukets
dive destinations. Here you can see between 15 and 20 m.
